Squero di San Trovaso, Venice
14.04.2022
The Squero di San Trovaso showcased two sculptural works by Gianmaria Potenza, seamlessly integrating them with the surrounding environment. These works inspired the vision of a future that doesn’t destroy but embraces the traces of the past. Two sides of Venice converged: its splendor and grandeur, and the city that evolves and embraces innovation, communicating and offering a unique perspective.
The theme of the Art Biennale, “The Milk of Dreams,” which opened on April 23, also embodied these ideals: dreams transforming into tangible skills, unimaginable anywhere else but here, in the lagoon.
Potenza’s contribution, with his two sculptures seamlessly integrated into the Squero’s shipyard structure, represented a virtuous projection towards a sustainable, innovative, and enjoyable future for the city of Venice.
