“Les Éclipsées,” the women who whaped the course of history”

Palazzo Contarini Polignac, Venice
19.02 – 13.03.2022

Palazzo Contarini Polignac invited French artist Zoé Vayssières to create an exhibition in its Magazzzino Gallery.

“Les Éclipsées” is dedicated to all the women who have distinguished themselves by making invaluable contributions to the advancement of humanity, yet who have been “eclipsed” and thus forgotten over the centuries. Zoé Vayssières has conceived a site-specific installation, envisioned as a journey through three stations: “Stories of Women,” “Touches of Destiny,” and “Folds of Memory.” For Vayssières, time is merely a product of memory, and her artistic explorations are woven from this intricate interplay.
