The Italian Cen Long Exhibition Tour took place in two phases, featuring two exhibitions titled “Sowing Hope,” curated by Metra Lin, a deep connoisseur of the artist, and architect Laura Villani.

With the support of President Cristina Acidini, in March the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno in Florence hosted the exhibition “Sowing Hope: Purgatory in the Paintings of Cen Long.” This solo exhibition of the Chinese artist established a dialogue with Dante’s Purgatory.

Subsequently, Cen Long’s exhibition “Sowing Hope” arrived in Venice for the 60th Venice Biennale. This was the largest exhibition ever held in Italy to spread a message of hope and to showcase the work of an artist deeply attuned to the human condition.

Promoted by the Crux Art Foundation of Taiwan, “Sowing Hope” is an exhibition that evokes genuine and profound emotions. In an era dominated by noise and turmoil, Cen Long’s artistic world, rooted in the vital impulse of existence, outlines a realm of humanity overflowing with aspirations and ideals. His works reveal the noblest virtues of humanity: kindness, love, resilience, and courage.

During the Venice exhibition, the “Sowing Hope” Art Competition took place, involving young artists from the Academies of Fine Arts in Venice and Lecce.
