“Invisible Passages,” Cen Long

Scala Contarini del Bovolo, Venice
10.03 – 14.04.2022

“Invisible Passages” was an exhibition featuring oil paintings by Cen Long, an artist renowned for his deep exploration of authentic representations of life and the world’s diverse realities. Accompanying his paintings were two 15th-century relics: a wooden sculpture of the Holy Mother and Angels, and the Renaissance masterpiece Paradise by Tintoretto (1518–1594). The exhibition aimed to evoke a sense of returning to purity and grace through the dialogue between art from different eras.

Cen Long dedicated decades to exploring the meanings and values of life, seeking truth and beauty in a constantly changing world. His art reflects daily struggles through sincere and emotional images, reconstructing the realities that exist.

The exhibition aimed to connect the 15th century with the modern era, highlighting the ongoing revival of the spirit of purity and grace through a dialogue between works from different periods. It demonstrated how the spirit of art can bridge temporal and spatial gaps.
