“Surreal Dream,” Igor Skaletsky

Jewish Museum of Venice
16.02 – 17.05.2020

The Press Office had the privilege of collaborating with the Jewish Museum of Venice for seven years, from 2018 to 2024.

The opening of Igor Skaletsky’s exhibition at the Jewish Museum of Venice, which took place during the Purim festival, featured the artist presenting collages that reinterpret artistic history with elements of pop culture and tattoos. Purim, a joyful and festive Jewish celebration, provided the perfect backdrop for the exhibition, which explored the dreamlike and magical.

Skaletsky, using his 1920s-inspired collage technique, blended historical images with modern elements, creating works that challenge visual habits and awaken the subconscious. His art blends religious symbols, pop culture, and tattoos, offering a unique and captivating perspective that bridges tradition and modernity.
