The exhibition “Te veo, me veo” by Lidia Léon was held at the Church of Santa Maria della Presentazione (delle Zitelle) in Venice. Curated by Roberta Semeraro and Iris Peynado, the exhibition highlighted Léon’s work, focusing on social and existential themes such as intolerance and cultural gaps. The central piece, which gave the exhibition its title, invited visitors to reflect on themselves through the Other, using historical and philosophical references.
Lidia Léon stated: “Many of my works have promoted social inclusion through play, stimulating imagination and creating spaces of respect for differences, thereby countering discrimination.”
Roberta Semeraro added: “Léon’s works reflected the beauty of her land and the vitality of its people, expressing profound and universal values.”
